watercolour and charcoal landscape

Scorched Earth

This piece came about quite intuitively, inspired by the aftermath of the torrid summer we had in 2022. After playing around with printing an image on gelli plate using rice paper, I used it as a collage with watercolours, charcoal and pastels. The end result really captures the essence of what I was feeling about the landscape.
