‘Parc 55’ (High Rise) 2020

Parc 55 - High Rise

‘Parc 55’ is part of a body of work which explores the relationship between repetition, space and pattern in the urban landscape. It is based on a modernist building in San Francisco built in the 80’s on the site of a former hotel (1904) destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
The repeated elements (windows) form a pattern which defines the building shape.

Exhibited at the Signal Arts Centre in September 2020.

Screen printed on Fabriano paper with natural dyes and pigments.
Hand dyed rice paper in the back

(Madder root, pomegranate skins, logwood, carrots fronds, coreopsis)
